In a turn worthy of The Devil Wears Prada, Anne Hathaway’s ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri was busted by the FBI thanks to his former administrative assistant.
The assistant told FBI agents that Follieri – an admitted con man – kept a safe full of financial and business records in his $37,000-a-month Trump Tower apartments, the New York Post reports, citing court papers.
The court papers don’t disclose the contents of the safe, which was seized by the feds this summer, but say a black folder underneath it contained documents in English and Italian, emblazoned with the words “Dal Vaticano,” according to the newspaper.
Follieri pleaded guilty in September to charges including wire fraud, money laundering and conspiracy.
